Important information about the Wilson Health Centre
The GP practice and the walk-in service at the Wilson Health Centre cease as of 31 March 2017.
From 1 April extended hours will operate across Merton's GP practices.
will boost the number of appointments both during core surgery hours from 8am to 6.30pm
Monday to Friday and also during extended hours which is before 8am
Monday to Friday, 6.30pm to 8pm Monday to Friday, and on Saturday
mornings in some practices.
In the first instance anyone registered with Merton GPs should call their local practice if they need an urgent or routine appointment.
Alongside the extended hours in local GP practices there will be two primary care access hubs, one in the east of
the borough and one in the west. The hubs are not offering a walk-in service.
service will begin from 1st April 2017 from the eastern hub and this will be
followed by the hub in the west shortly after.
To book a same day appointment at the hub patients will need to contact their GP practice or call 111.
Please note the hub is only available for patients registered with a Merton GP practice.
hubs will offer extended access Monday to Friday until 5pm - 9pm and
on Saturdays 8am-8pm, with the one in the east also open Sundays 8am
-8pm and also bank holidays. Initially the hubs are offering same day
- The hubs will also provide access to nursing at the weekends from April 1st, for those who need wound care.
There are a range of local NHS services to choose from and you don't always need to see a GP or go to A&E.

NHS 111 service is the best number to call if you have an urgent medical
need and it is not life threatening. They will be able to offer you
advice on treatment and refer you to the nearest available health
service for your medical condition including our local Merton GP Out of Hours service.
NHS 111 is free and available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
