Free NHS six-week programme starts on Monday April 11
A free NHS six-week programme to help you manage your condition better is starting on Monday April 11 and there are still places available. If you are living with - or caring for someone with - a long-term health condition such as diabetes, back pain, high blood pressure depression, anxiety, asthma, arthritis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) the NHS Expert Patients Programme could be for you.
The Programme consists of six sessions, each lasting two and a half hours, run by trained volunteer tutors who also live with one or more long-term health conditions. The April programme will take place at Vestry Hall, Mitcham.
It aims to help you feel more confident about managing your health and improve your quality of life. by teaching you new skills, giving practical advice, and allowing you to meet others and share similar experiences, in a friendly, informal and confidential environment.
