Merton CCG publishes annual patient and public participation report

Merton CCG has today published its Patient and Public Participation Report for 2015/6.

Merton CCG is committed to making sure that patient engagement and experience are at the heart of its work and to understand what matters to patients, their relatives and carers so that appropriate and effective patient-centred services are commissioned.

The report provides evidence of the CCG’s participation and engagement.  This is in addition to the information about participation in our Annual Report, both of which can be read on our publications page. The report presents information and evidence which demonstrates how we are meeting our statutory duties under 14Z2 of the Health and Social Care Act 2012 (as amended).

Participation helps us to understand people’s needs, and to prioritise those people who experience the poorest health outcomes – enabling us to improve access and reduce health inequalities. Participation provides opportunities to see things differently and to be innovative, leading to a better use of our limited resources.

A copy of the report  has also been submitted to NHS England London Region today.
