End of Life Care
On 22 September the Kings Fund, an independent charity working to improve health and care in England hosted a one-day conference - Innovative approaches to end-of-life care - highlighting some of the challenges, but also celebrating national and local improvement programmes. The event explored innovative approaches to palliative and end-of-life care. It gave an overview of some of the national programmes of work in this area and shared lessons from good practice case studies in palliative care and local end-of-life care commissioning and delivery.
Dr Caroline Chill, Merton CCG Clinical Director for Integration, Older and Vulnerable Adults and End of Life Care was invited to speak at the event on how we made End of Life Care a Priority in Merton.
